[Melbourne FL Deputy Police Chief John] Short summoned three police officers to his home about 11 p.m. and had the officers threaten Buksas-Gutierrez with arrest if she did not turn off her newly acquired generator. She and her 4-year-old son lacked power for 10 days, and she was operating an air conditioner.

The cop was upset because the generator was too noisy. Maybe next time a hurricane comes around he should stick his head out the window for a while to attenuate his hearing.

Or, he could just buy some of these.
